A quick guide to youth t-shirt sizing so you can pick the right fit for your little farm fan on the first try. All measurements are in inches and reflect the actual garment laid flat, not your kid's body.

Each size is matched to a typical age range, but kids grow at their own pace, so always cross-check the measurements against a tee they already wear.

Youth tees run true to size for most kids. If they're between sizes, growing fast, or you want two seasons out of it, size up. If your kiddo likes a closer fit, stick with their usual size.

How to Read the Chart

Three quick measurements and you're set:

• Width is measured pit to pit (across the chest), laid flat.
• Length runs from the top of the shoulder seam down to the bottom hem.
• Sleeve, center back is measured from the center of the back collar, out across the shoulder, and down to the edge of the short sleeve.

The easiest way to find the right size: grab a t-shirt your kid already wears and loves. Lay it flat. Measure the width pit to pit, the length top to bottom, and compare to the numbers above. Whichever row matches closest is the size to grab.

Should I order by age or by size?

Always size first, age second. The age column is a general guideline, but kids grow at totally different paces — a tall 7-year-old might fit better in a Medium than a Small. Measure a tee your child already loves and match those numbers to the chart for the best fit.
