Where I Give
Freedom Reigns Ranch
Horses have been such a huge part of my life, and I’ve seen firsthand the impact they can have on people. That’s why I’m proud to support Freedom Reigns Ranch, an incredible organization that provides equine-assisted mentorship to children and young adults who have experienced trauma or other life challenges. Every session is completely free, ensuring that those who need it most can experience the healing power of horses.
I'm so happy to be sponsoring Pumpkin this year. She's a 16-year-old Tennessee Walking Horse/Exmoor Pony with an incredible story. She was rescued at just two years old from the largest equine seizure case in Tennessee’s history and was later adopted by a loving owner who cared for her for 14 years. When the time came for her to find a new home, she was generously donated to Freedom Reigns Ranch.
Pumpkin is truly one of a kind—steady, forgiving, and full of love for people. There was no doubt that she was the perfect fit for the ranch. She’s settled in beautifully and is already making a difference in the lives of the kids and young adults who visit.
Freedom Reigns Ranch doesn’t just help people—it also serves as a foster home for horses recovering from abuse and neglect in Middle Tennessee. Volunteers and participants have the opportunity to help care for and rehabilitate these horses, giving them a second chance at life.
It means so much to me to support a place where both people and horses can heal and grow together. If you’d like to learn more or find ways to help, visit Freedom Reigns Ranch.
Saddle Up
I’m honored to support Saddle Up!—an amazing organization that provides equine-assisted programs exclusively for children and youth with disabilities.
What started as a small, one-night-a-week program for just 10 students has grown into a year-round program serving nearly 180 children and young people each year. Saddle Up! is the oldest and largest program of its kind in the region and is also a Premier Center accredited by PATH International, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality in equine-assisted services.
Meet Taylor
One of the most special parts of my involvement with Saddle Up! is sponsoring Taylor, a 15-hand Quarter Horse mare born in 2014.
Taylor’s story could have had a very different ending. She was once part of a broodmare band and ended up at a sale known for being a direct pipeline to slaughter. Thankfully, some incredible friends in Ohio saw her potential, saved her, and gave her the time and training she needed to find her way to Saddle Up!
Now, she has a new purpose—helping children experience the joy, freedom, and confidence that comes from being in the saddle. She’s learned her job, realized that people are good, and figured out that scratches and attention are some of the best things in life!
It means the world to me to support Saddle Up! and to be a small part of the life-changing work they do. If you’d like to learn more or get involved, visit Saddle Up!.
