VS Code Red, known as Waylon, is Katie Van Slyke's 2007 red roan American Quarter Horse stallion. He is by World Champion stallion Blazing Hot and out of Vital Signs Are Good.
Katie acquired VS Code Red at the VS Dispersal Sale in August 2023, making the proven stallion a cornerstone of the Running Springs Quarter Horse breeding program.

His sire, Blazing Hot, is by Hotrodders Jet Set and out of Tahnee Zippo.
His dam, Vital Signs Are Good, is by Zippos Mr Good Bar and out of Vitalism. NSBA records identify Vital Signs Are Good as an NSBA Horse of the Year.
Congress and World Show Record
VS Code Red made history at the 2009 All American Quarter Horse Congress, becoming the first horse to win the Open, Limited Open and Non-Pro Two-Year-Old Western Pleasure Futurities. Kristen Galyean showed him in those winning Western Pleasure events.
In 2011, Charlie Cole showed VS Code Red to a unanimous Congress championship in Junior Western Riding and a Congress championship in Green Western Riding. His career also includes NSBA world and reserve world honors in Western Riding.
VS Code Red Offspring
VS Code Red is a proven sire of horses competing in Western Pleasure, Western Riding, Trail and other all-around events.
The All American Quarter Horse Congress identifies his offspring as Congress champions, including Congress Masters champions VS Lady In Red and VS The First Lady, as well as AQHA, APHA and NSBA world champions.
One of his best-known offspring is Snap It Send It, a gray mare by VS Code Red and out of Snap Krackle Pop. Snap It Send It earned the 2021 Farnam AQHA World Championship Show Superhorse title.
